Pashu bhava is bondage, not identity. It describes the soul bound by pasha.

What it is:

Pashu means bound by eight bonds: fear, shame, craving, delusion, clinging to custom, kama, krodha, lobha, moha. Behavior becomes reactive, security seeking, and separate from the divine. Tantra maps growth as pashu to vira to divya: from bound, to courageous, to steady in compassion. Shiva as Pashupati is the liberator of these bonds.

What aggravates it:

Tantra astrology reads grahas as inner shaktis. Pashu thickens when binding forces outweigh viveka.

1.Afflicted Moon: mental noise, anxiety, clinging to habit
2.Unbalanced Rahu: confusion, craving for validation, reaction over reflection
3.Saturn in tamas: inertia, survival anxiety, inability to begin
4.Weak Mars: self doubt, inability to hold vows or boundaries
5.Afflicted Jupiter: weak guru tattva, following crowd over conscience
6.Afflicted Venus, Mercury: indulgence and clever justification

How to loosen it:

Bonds loosen when seen and offered, not forced.

1.See them through svadhyaya and yama niyama
2.Steady upasana with Om Pashupataye Namah at a fixed time
3.Ground life through work, rhythm, and seva
Build vira courage: keep one vow, speak one needed truth
4.Seek guru or sangha to avoid spiritual ego

With Mahakali

Where Pashupati loosens, Mahakali cuts. As Kalaratri she removes deep fear. As Saturn Mahavidya she burns tamas into tapas. With khadga she cuts false identity. A simple sattvik practice is Om Kreem Kalikayai Namah with offering of one specific fear, followed by grounded action. Ugra forms need guru guidance.

Steadiness marks progress: less reactivity, more responsibility, more compassion.
