Samadhi
Samadhi – there are too many theories around it. What’s the real meaning of it? Is it something that only great saints attain in a state of meditation, like how people describe?
People market their 3rd eye opening and Samadhi as some sort of achievement.
Samadhi is no achievement; it is a final remembrance. The return to what you really are, and have been. A place where worshipper, the deity, the prayer, the chant, the meditation, the philosophy all dissolve into silence. A state wherein the beloved you seek disappears and only truth remains.
Throughout life, one calls out in temples, sometimes in nature, and even through tears that have no language. In every birth, the form changes, the name changes, but the longing remains the same. The heart remembers. Each lifetime the soul passes through it remembers its beloved through many names. And the beloved is only one waiting behind every mantra, all manifestations, every form and in every story. And then the final moment when even remembrance begins to dissolve. Because what you were calling out to and for was never somewhere else. Till this very moment, even Shiva is incomplete.
The dance between lovers, the one who is longing and the beloved, exists only until separation exists. When the duality ends, there is no “I” left to surrender, and that is Samadhi. Not death but the end of the dream of difference
