The simple and truthful answer is No. Tantra, has nothing to do with black magic, fear, or harmful practices. Tantra is about the self, it is inner engineering with the goal of realising your maximum potential and living with awareness that each one of us can be Bhairava. Tantra sadhana does not give you the power to control or influence any third person by any means

This misunderstanding has arisen due to misinformation, sensational misrepresented portrayals in movies. In reality Tantra is a sacred and powerful path of inner awakening that has existed within Hindu philosophy for thousands of years.

This misunderstanding also arises because Tantra is bold in its approach to spiritualism where it professes direct experience of the divine rather than blind belief in what you read or hear from other sources. It teaches how to recognize the divine presence within oneself, not through complex rituals alone, but through awareness, breath, sound, silence, and daily living.

 

Black magic, by on the other hand, is based on control, fear, manipulation, or harm of another person. Such actions go against the very philosophy and spiritual foundation of Tantra. You should never confuse Black magic with Tantra, in-fact black magic has its own names like Bhanumathi and Chatabadi, etc.

Tantra is about inner transformation, it teaches you to observe thoughts, emotions, and reactions rather than being controlled by them. This leads to emotional balance, mental clarity, reduced anxiety, and a deeper sense of peace. Tantra cultivates compassion, patience, courage, and self-understanding. It does not promise miracles; instead, it offers mastery over one’s inner state, which is the greatest power a human being can attain.

Tantra is the easiest practice to attain the divine in spiritualism. The entire practice of Tantra is designed for people who want to attain the divine within themselves, Tantra does not ask you to renounce the world rather it teaches you how to live fully while you are fully engaged with the world in your daily life. It is a spiritual science for everyone, professionals, parents, and people living active lives. Simple practices such as mindful breathing, being aware of the space between thoughts, or remaining present during routine activities are all Tantric in nature. Even a few minutes of daily awareness can create noticeable shifts in mental and emotional well-being.
Most people already practise Tantra unknowingly in their daily lives. Whenever you pause to take a deep breath during stress, becomes fully absorbed in music, feels stillness while watching a sunrise, or experiences complete presence with a loved one, you are touching a Tantric state.
