Don’t we try to be pure all the time? Following rituals, rules, right mantra, the right way but Shiva fails everything that doesn’t have a pure consciousness, a pure chitta. Shiva accepts all offerings. He smiles and says ” who decides what’s being offered is pure or not”? Purity and impurity is in the mind that is dual. For Shiva, there is nothing that is outside . Everything is consciousness- shuddha chaitanya awareness that pervades impurity and pure mantra alike .When someone worships him with meat, he accepts that too he frees every mind, every idea, every thought from the fact that divine isn’t fragile, its holiness and purity doesn’t get swayed with a touch or an offer. He doesn’t reject anyone, because he is the universe and all take shelter under him. The right path, left path are both carved by the same consciousness. In yoga and tantra wherever and whenever u begin, even by mistake Shiva meets you. Ego defines things as pure or impure. Shiva dissolves all such distinctions. When you approach him like the way you are – real self not pretending to be pure he accepts you because there is nothing in existence that is not already him.
