Why does Saturn remove ego?

Sometimes Shiva’s own powers turn against him. Born from Shiva’s third eye- pure Vidya and detachment, a spark of anger hit the salty water of an ocean(emotion) and Jalandhar was born. Shiva holds the crescent moon on his head, he balances emotions and mind perfectly and even though Jalandhar was divine born from Shiva’s energy, fuelled by Vrinda’s shakti of love and purity, he craved for power and dominance. It was Vrinda’s power of devotion towards the ultimate Guru(Vishnu) and loyalty towards her husband, that stopped Saturn to do its task, bhakti’s shakti is purely Mars (purity from Shiva, and humbleness from ground) just like Hanumanji. Jalandhar, forgot his origin, he forgot where he came from and in ego he wanted to take Shiva’s place. Shiv who is pure and ultimate. Jalandhar thought through his powers he was equal to the divine. He even misused his tapasya and claimed Parvathi. Here Shiva shattered the illusion (shani became the practical guru). Shakti (mind- moon) took her power back and Vrinda was freed (amrit) and Jalandhar collapsed consumed by the same fire that birthed him, and purification began. Saturn comes when even divine energy without dharma and without rememberance becomes destructive. This is how saturn is said to be unbiased and non-dual.
