“In a conversation with Guruma today about Kamakhya, we were discussing about how the crowd at Kamakhya has increased due to internet. All of a sudden bhakts have started overflowing disturbing the natural flow of energies around the parvat in many ways. Controlling such a huge crowd is impossible but isn’t it our duty to maintain the sanity of the place? A lot of so called tantriks are coming from outside Assam claiming to be ones from Kamakhya extorting money and exploiting women in the name of Bhairavi sadhna targeting specially the westerners is something that breaks my heart. Please note: here no one is a magician, the Pandas are Kaulachari pujaris most of them are grahastis and don’t practice “Black magic” Yes panchmakar is used, but it is used as a puja padati and not as some sort of “Abhichar”
I have lived here for almost 7 years , travelled to and fro and can observe the tremendous changes in the vibes. I feel sad to see, that a place where our siddhas have stayed, worshipped and have done tapasya is being bad named and exploited in the name of few likes on reels.
Animal sacrifice is a part of Shakta lineage, and there are plenty of scriptures that talk about it. There are two things here: it totally depends on you and your belief system to follow vegan or Vegetarian diet, but by coming here and disrespecting the culture and criticising what has been practiced here since ages is not appreciated. There are plenty of temples still in India of Shakta where bali pratha is practiced. Stop targeting “only Kamakhya”, secondly if this place doesn’t match your vibes- kindly go to Vaishnava temples where you can feel the energies differently. Stop creating fuss and buzz on the internet.
I see a lot of experts talking on Kamakhya and people taking “pride” in visiting Kamakhya . Bhakti shouldn’t have any ego or pride attached to it and as for some influencers, no matter how much you explore Nilachal parvat you will never get the whole of it. Stop copying pasting from books. Unless you are not a sadhak, you will know nothing of this place. This place is highly mystic and esoteric.
