My life revolves around her, hence i deeply connect to her…
When Desire Beheads Itself: How Kameshvara and Kameshwari Become Chinnamasta

Chinnamasta does not begin with death. She begins with love at its peak.

In her iconic form, she stands naked and red, holding her own severed head, drinking her own blood. Beneath her feet, on a blooming lotus, lie Kameshvara Shiva and Kameshwari Shakti in intimate union. They are not defeated. They are the seat.

The lovers who create

Kameshvara, the Lord of Desire, is pure consciousness turned toward bliss. Kameshwari, the Lady of Desire, is his power to enjoy and create. Together they are the cosmic couple whose embrace births the universe. Their love is not sin. In Tantra, it is the highest creativity.

The cut that liberates

Chinnamasta rises when that embrace turns inward. With one stroke she severs her own head, the ego, the thinker, the enjoyer. Three streams of blood flow out. Two nourish her attendants, Dakini and Varnini. One feeds her own mouth.

This is not violence. It is reversal. Energy that would flow outward into pleasure and progeny now flows upward into awakening. The sushumna, ida and pingala are often seen in those three streams.

What happens in the merge is simple and radical: desire is not denied, it is sacrificed and sublimated. The couple does not die, their kama becomes tapas. Love becomes fearlessness, sexuality becomes kundalini, death becomes self nourishment.

To meditate on Chinnamasta is to ask: can I love so completely that I no longer need a lover, live so fully that I can offer my own head?

She answers with her own body. Yes.
