Last night you saw a snake in your dream. You woke up scared. But in India, elders often smile and say — “Shubh hai.”

Are they right? According to Swapna Shastra and Tantra, yes, most of the time.

1. The Tantric Secret: It’s Not a Snake, It’s You

Tantra doesn’t see the snake as an animal. It sees Kundalini Shakti — the coiled serpent energy sleeping at your Muladhara chakra, at the base of your spine.

When this energy awakens, it rises like a snake through the chakras to the crown. That’s why many seekers see snakes during intense meditation, mantra japa, or life transitions.

A calm snake = awakening has begun
A rising cobra = power, confidence, spiritual protection (Shiva’s grace)

In short: your soul is trying to shed old skin.

2. What Swapna Shastra Says
Ancient texts are surprisingly positive:

Good omens:

• Snake bite and you survive: Huge change coming, end of enemies, financial turnaround. A white snake bite is said to bring wealth.

• Catching a snake / snake sitting peacefully: You will overcome problems.

• Colorful snake: Auspicious, new opportunities.

Be careful if:

• Black aggressive snake chasing you: Inner fear, stress, or Kaal Sarp Dosha influence. Time to slow down and ground yourself.

• Killing a snake: Some texts say this means you are blocking your own growth.

3. What Should You Do After Such a Dream?

Don’t fear. Tantra says: listen.

1. Meditate for 10 minutes, focus on your breath at the spine base
2. Offer water to Shivling on Monday, chant Om Namah Shivaya
3. Avoid telling the dream to everyone — keep the energy inward

Snake dreams rarely mean physical danger. They mean transformation. Something old is dying, something powerful is being born in you.

Have you seen a snake in your dream recently?

(I get this question very often from people about snake dreams)
