Shukra Vakra 2026: When Desire Turns Inward

On October 3rd, Shukra stations retrograde in his own sign, Tula (14° Libra, Swati). He walks backward into Kanya, turning direct on November 14th at 28° Virgo.
Western charts call this “8° Scorpio.” Vedic wisdom knows better: the Guru of the Asuras is going vakra in his own temple.
The Tantric Meaning
Shukra is Shukra-tattva – ojas, creative essence. His Devi is Tripurasundari, Desire itself.
When the lord of pleasure walks backward in his own house, it is pratyahara – withdrawal of the senses. You are forced to ask: where does my desire actually come from?
Oct 19-29, Shukra goes asta (combust). This is dahana – burning. What was built on glitter turns to ash.
Then he falls into Kanya, the Virgin: Bhoga → Shuddhi. Pleasure → Purity.
