9th house is very important in Vedic Astrology. It is the highest pillar of Dharma Trikona. It represents our Purva Punya, means the luck that we have accumulated by our good karmas. This house will only decide how much you will achieve in this life. It also represents religion, our religious beliefs, higher education, philosophy, long journey, teaching of father etc. For astrology, spirituality or any other divine knowledge, a strong 9th house is very important, it only decides our fate in this life.
So now let’s discuss different planets in the 9th house-
Sun- This is a strong placement for foreign travel or settlement. The native will have interest in religion and philosophy, foreign culture, will have a good education, will be respected in foreign lands, by teacher and gurus. Can give disputes with father or teachers if afflicted.
Moon – This is a very good placement for moon to be specially if it’s not afflicted and waxing. Very deeply attached to mother and will have gain from mother. Will be emotional, love philosophy and spirituality, will respect religion. Can have some ups and downs in higher education. Will love going on long journeys and will dream while in journey. Cordial relationship with father.
Mercury – For an intelligent and curious planet like mercury this is a very good placement to be. It makes the native curious about learning different cultures, will love to make friends from foreign country, will have intelligent mindset and will be keen learner, will basically go in business field and will have very good communication skill and logic.
Venus – The native will be very loving, creative, artistic, kind, will love foreign culture and will love making foreigner friends, and can have relationship with foreigner. Also will take great interest in religious and philosophical learning. Basically the native is interested in artistic field.
