Who is Adishakti?

Wlho is Adishakti? Is she just Sati or Parvati? She is neither born nor does she dies- she just moves, she just flows. The Chausathi Yogini Mahotsav is held annually from 23rd to 25th December at the Chausath Yogini Temple in Hirapur, Odisha. This three-day tantra and cultural festival celebrates the rich heritage and spiritual significance of the 64 Yoginis, who are revered as powerful manifestations of the divine feminine energy.

Locals in the surrounding areas of Hirapur hold deep reverence for the Chausath Yoginis and the temple. They believe that the Yoginis possess immense power and can bestow blessings, protection, and prosperity upon their devotees. The festival is seen as an opportunity to honour the divine 64 Yoginis and seek their guidance and blessings. During the festival Tantric Rituals are followed. The temple’s daily rituals include the worship of the Bhumandala, which involves honouring the five elements of nature—water, sky, fire, earth, and air.
