Jupiter, Mercury and Saturn: The journey from knowledge to understanding to dharma

In Vedic astrology, every graha is not only a planet in the sky. It is also a living tattva within human consciousness. Jupiter, Mercury and Saturn represent three very important stages of spiritual evolution.

Jupiter gives knowledge.
 Mercury processes that knowledge.
 Saturn makes you live that knowledge.

Many people receive wisdom. Some people understand it. Very few people live it.

That is the real difference between Jupiter, Mercury and Saturn.

Jupiter: The knowledge given by God

Jupiter, or Guru / Brihaspati, represents divine knowledge, scriptures, wisdom, blessings, temples, mantras, Vedas, saints, teachers and Brahma Gyan.

When a person receives sacred knowledge, that is Jupiter. For example, if Bhagavad Gita is given to me as Brahma Gyan, and I start reading it with faith, that is the work of Jupiter.

Jupiter brings the knowledge to us. It may come through a guru, a scripture, a mantra, a temple, a divine experience, a satsang, a saint, a book, or even a difficult life lesson. Jupiter is the principle that opens the door of wisdom.

But receiving knowledge is only the beginning. A person may read the Bhagavad Gita many times and still not live according to dharma. A person may visit temples daily and still remain full of ego. A person may chant mantras and still remain attached to anger, pride, greed and control.

This means Jupiter has given knowledge, but the journey is not complete. Knowledge has entered, but transformation has not yet happened.

Mercury: The power to process and understand

Mercury, or Budh, represents intelligence, discrimination, analysis, reasoning, communication, learning, reflection and the ability to process information.
When I read the Bhagavad Gita and begin to think deeply about what Shri Krishna is saying, that is Mercury.
When I ask, “What does this teaching mean for my life?”
When I analyse dharma and adharma.
When I reflect on karma, detachment, devotion and surrender.
When I use my own understanding to digest the wisdom of scripture.
That is Budh. Mercury is not the source of divine wisdom. Jupiter is the source. But Mercury helps us understand what Jupiter has given.
If Jupiter is the sacred book, Mercury is the mind that reads between the lines.
If Jupiter is the guru’s teaching, Mercury is the disciple’s ability to understand it correctly.
If Jupiter is mantra, Mercury is the awareness that knows how, when and why to chant.
But Mercury can also be dangerous when it is not guided by dharma. Misused intellect can turn wisdom into debate, ego, manipulation and cleverness. A person may use scriptures to prove superiority instead of becoming humble. A person may use knowledge to win arguments instead of transforming the self.
Therefore, Budh must remain surrendered to Guru Tattva. Intellect should serve wisdom, not replace it.

Saturn: The discipline to live dharma

Saturn, or Shani, represents karma, discipline, patience, responsibility, suffering, humility, time, justice, duty and practical implementation.

When I take the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita and actually implement them in my life, that is Saturn.

Reading about dharma is Jupiter.
 Understanding dharma is Mercury.
 Living dharma is Saturn.

This is where the real test begins.

It is easy to say, “Do your karma without attachment.”
 It is difficult to actually work without ego.

It is easy to say, “Control anger.”
 It is difficult to remain peaceful when insulted.

It is easy to say, “Surrender to God.”
 It is difficult to surrender when life does not go according to our desires.

Saturn is the graha that asks: “Have you lived what you claim to know?”

That is why Saturn is feared. Not because Shani is cruel, but because Shani is truthful. He removes the illusion between what we believe ourselves to be and what we actually are.

Jupiter may give you the scripture.
 Mercury may help you understand the scripture.
 But Saturn will place you in situations where you must prove whether that scripture has entered your life.

Yoga, Meditation and Atma Manthan: The Bridge to Saturn

The knowledge of Jupiter must be processed through Budh and then absorbed through practice.

This happens through yoga, meditation, dhyana, atma manthan and chintan.

Yoga disciplines the body and mind.
 Meditation quietens the inner noise.
 Dhyana deepens awareness.
 Atma manthan means inner churning.
 Chintan means deep contemplation.

When the knowledge of Jupiter is contemplated through Budh and implemented through Saturn, wisdom becomes lived experience.

This is the difference between reading about fire and feeling its heat. A person may know many shlokas, but when life tests them, their real Saturn is revealed. Do they remain patient? Do they act with dharma? Do they control their senses? Do they fulfill their duties? Do they protect truth even when it is difficult?

This is where spiritual astrology becomes practical.

Hinduism and Sanatana Dharma: Religion and lived dharma

In one sense, Hinduism can be understood through Jupiter, religion, scriptures, temples, mantras, festivals, rituals, philosophy and divine knowledge.

But Sanatana Dharma is deeper than identity. It is not only about being born into a tradition. It is about living the eternal principles of dharma.

To understand the scriptures through Budh and then imbibe them in real life through Shani is Sanatana Dharma.

Religion gives us structure.
 Dharma gives us direction.
 Understanding gives us clarity.
 Discipline gives us transformation.

A person may call themselves Hindu because of birth, culture or practice. But to live as a dharmic being requires Saturn.

It requires honesty, responsibility, humility, self-control, seva, surrender and right action.

Therefore, the journey is not complete at Jupiter. It must pass through Mercury and reach Saturn.

Hanuman ji as the Highest Example

Let us understand this through Hanuman ji.

Hanuman ji represents the perfect union of strength, devotion, intelligence, humility and service. He is not merely powerful. He is surrendered.

Hanuman ji received the highest Guru Tattva through Shri Ram.

Shri Ram is Jupiter, the living Brahman, the source of dharma and divine wisdom.
 Understanding Shri Ram’s will is Mercury.
 Living only for Shri Ram’s work is Saturn.

Hanuman ji did not keep knowledge as theory. He turned it into seva. He listened. He understood. He acted.

He had Budh to process what his Jupiter, Shri Ram, gave him. He had Shani to imbibe that dharma into karma. He did not merely worship Shri Ram emotionally; he made every action an offering to Shri Ram.

That is why Hanumanj i is worshipped everywhere.

His bhakti was not passive. It was active. It was disciplined. It was courageous. It was free from selfishness. Hanuman ji knew nothing beyond pure, unconditional love and service. That love also carries the strength of Mars and the discipline of Saturn. It is not weak love. It is powerful surrender.

Ravan and Hanuman: Two different forms of bhakti

Ravan was also a great bhakt of Mahadev. He was learned, powerful, disciplined, and deeply connected to Shiva. He knew scriptures. He had tapasya. He had mantra shakti. He had extraordinary strength.

But his bhakti became mixed with pride. Ravan wanted to control through his own will. He worshipped Mahadev, the supreme Purusha, but his relationship with divinity became transactional and possessive. He wanted power, authority, conquest and control.

He even tried to control Shani, which symbolically means he tried to control karma itself. But one who tries to control Shani forgets to implement dharma in life.

Ravan may have been good to his own people, but he could not bear the truth that Lord Vishnu had incarnated as Shri Ram to dissolve his ego. His downfall was also a pathway to moksha, because even his destruction happened through Bhagwan’s own hands.

This is the mystery of divine leela.

Ravan’s bhakti had adhikar — a sense of claim over God.
 Hanuman ji’s bhakti had samarpan — complete surrender to God.

Ravan worshipped, but wanted control.
 Hanuman ji worshipped, and became service.

Ravan had knowledge, but knowledge became pride.
 Hanuman ji had knowledge, but knowledge became humility.

Ravan had tapasya, but tapasya became ego.
 Hanuman ji had strength, but strength became seva.

Both were bhakts. But one became an example of ego in bhakti, and the other became the eternal example of surrender in bhakti.

The pride of bhakti and knowledge in kalyug

In Kalyug, many people are closer to Ravan than Hanuman.

There is pride of bhakti.
 Pride of knowledge.
 Pride of mantra.
 Pride of guru.
 Pride of religion.
 Pride of spiritual experiences.
 Pride of having read scriptures.
 Pride of being “more dharmic” than others.

This pride is dangerous because it wears the mask of spirituality.

A person may say, “I know everything.”
 “I have done all sadhanas.”
 “I know all mantras.”
 “I understand all scriptures.”
 “I am more awakened than others.”

But when there is pride, the essence of dharma is already lost.

The inner enemies then rise stronger:

Kama — lust and uncontrolled desire
 Krodha — anger
 Moha — delusion and attachment
 Lobha — greed
 Mada — pride
 Matsarya — jealousy and envy
 Manas — the wavering mind
 Buddhi — intellect used wrongly
 Chitta — consciousness disturbed by impressions
 Ahamkara — ego, the false identity

Ravan was not destroyed because he lacked knowledge. He was destroyed because knowledge became ahamkara.

That is why Mahadev had to cut the illusion he was living with. Ego in bhakti is still ego. Pride in knowledge is still pride. Control in the name of devotion is still control.

The Goal is to become Hanuman, Not Ravan

The goal of spiritual life is not to become powerful like Ravan.

The goal is to become surrendered like Hanuman.

The goal is not to collect knowledge.
 The goal is to live dharma.

The goal is not to control Shani.
 The goal is to honour karma.

The goal is not to use God for our desires.
 The goal is to offer ourselves to God’s will.

This is the meaning of becoming Hanuman – Jupiter in Saturn’s rashi.

Knowledge must become discipline.
 Bhakti must become seva.
 Intelligence must become humility.
 Strength must become protection.
 Power must become surrender.

When Jupiter’s wisdom enters Saturn’s field of karma, a seeker stops showing off spirituality and starts living it. This is Hanuman Tattva.

From Knowing to Becoming

The difference between Jupiter, Mercury and Saturn is the difference between knowing, understanding and becoming.

Jupiter gives Bhagavad Gita.
 Mercury reflects on Bhagavad Gita.
 Saturn lives Bhagavad Gita.

Jupiter gives the mantra.
 Mercury understands its meaning.
 Saturn disciplines the life around it.

Jupiter gives the guru.
 Mercury understands the teaching.
 Saturn follows the path.

Jupiter gives Shri Ram.
 Mercury understands Ram’s dharma.
 Saturn becomes Hanuman.

This is the journey of Sanatana Dharma.

Not merely to read.
 Not merely to analyse.
 Not merely to debate.

But to transform.

Because the highest spiritual achievement is not saying, “I know.”

The highest spiritual achievement is becoming so surrendered that every breath, every thought, every word and every action becomes dharma.

That is the path from Jupiter to Mercury to Saturn.

That is the path from knowledge to wisdom to karma.

That is the path from Ravan’s pride to Hanuman ji’s surrender.

Blockages, Past Life Karma and the 6th House: Why the same planet gives different results in different charts

In Vedic astrology, the same planet does not give the same result in every horoscope. One person may have a planet in the 6th house and rise through competition, service, healing, discipline and hard work. Another person may experience debts, enemies, disputes, diseases, legal matters, betrayal by workers, or repeated struggles through the same placement.

Why does this happen?

Because a planet does not work alone. It works through the house, sign, nakshatra, dignity, aspects, conjunctions, dasha, divisional charts and, most importantly, karma.

A horoscope is not merely a chart of events. It is a map of karmic patterns. Some results come from present-life choices, while some come from deeper stored karma what our tradition calls Prarabdha Karma, the portion of past-life karma that has already begun to bear fruit in this lifetime.

The 6th house is one of the most important houses to understand this.

The 6th House: The house of struggle, service and karmic repayment

The 6th house is traditionally known as the house of enemies, debts, disease, conflicts, competition and struggle. But it is also the house of service, discipline, healing, labour, job, co-workers, employees, servants, pets, animals and daily responsibilities.

It represents the battlefield of life. This house shows how a person deals with pressure, opposition, duties and repayment. It also reveals how one treats those who serve them, work under them, help them, heal them or depend on them.

The 6th house can represent:

Enemies and hidden opposition
 Debts, loans and financial pressure
 Court cases, fights and disputes
 Disease, healing and health struggles
 Competition and exams
 Job, labour and daily work
 Co-workers, subordinates and employees
 Servants and helpers
 Pets and animals
 Maternal relatives such as mama, mausi and masa
 Extra-marital complications, secret involvement, mistress-like situations and divorce-related struggles
 Service, seva and karmic correction

Because this house deals with struggle, people often fear it. But spiritually, the 6th house is not only punishment. It is also an opportunity. It shows where the soul must learn humility, discipline, service and correction.

Why the same planet gives different results in the 6th House

A planet placed in or connected to the 6th house can behave very differently depending on the person’s karma. For one person, Mars in the 6th house may give courage to defeat enemies, win court cases and succeed in competition. For another, it may create fights, aggression, accidents, blood-related health issues or constant disputes.

For one person, Venus connected to the 6th may give healing capacity, service through beauty, medicine or counselling. For another, it may create extra-marital attraction, relationship conflicts, divorce issues or debts due to pleasure.

For one person, Jupiter’s connection to the 6th may make them a healer, lawyer, teacher, advisor or guide to the suffering. For another, it may bring moral testing through debt, over-generosity, wrong advice, disputes with teachers or misuse of wisdom.

The planet is the same. The house is the same. But the karmic background is different. This is why astrology should never be read mechanically. A planet does not simply “give good” or “give bad.” It reveals the karmic field where a person must act consciously.

The 5th House as the storage of 6th House karma

To understand the deeper karma of the 6th house, we must look at the 5th house. The 5th house is 12th from the 6th house. In astrology, the 12th house from any house shows loss, storage, dissolution or expenditure of that house’s energy.

This means the actions connected to the 6th house get stored in the 5th house in a subtle karmic way.

The 5th house is the house of purva punya, past-life merit, intelligence, mantra, children, education, love affairs, creativity and future fortune. It also shows the karmic seed that can influence the next generation. Therefore, when a person performs good or bad actions related to the 6th house, those actions can affect the 5th house karma.

If someone cheats, exploits, abuses, humiliates or harms people connected to the 6th house like servants, employees, co-workers, labourers, animals, the sick, the poor, dependents or people in debt then that karma can damage the 5th house-related fortune.

This may affect love, children, education, peace of mind, intelligence, creative flow or the blessing of future generations, depending on the full chart.

This does not mean every person will face the same result. Karma is very precise. The result depends on the planets, strength of the houses, dasha, intention behind the action and the overall karmic pattern.

But the principle remains important: how we treat the weak, the dependent and the serving class becomes part of our future karmic destiny.

Cheating and the damage to future fortune

The 5th house is also the house of love affairs and children. When a person cheats another person emotionally, sexually, financially or morally, the result does not remain limited to that moment.

Cheating creates a karmic impression. If someone is involved in deception, extra-marital relations, misuse of trust or hidden exploitation, especially where the 6th house is activated, then the 5th house can suffer. This may show as disturbances in love life, emotional dissatisfaction, difficulty in children-related matters, loss of mental peace, or karmic issues passed into family patterns.

This is why dharma places so much importance on satya, loyalty, self-control and responsibility. A wrong action may look pleasurable in the present, but its vibration enters the future.

The 6th House as the 10th from the 9th House

Another important principle is that the 6th house is the 10th house from the 9th house.

The 9th house represents dharma, fortune, blessings, father, guru, higher wisdom, divine grace and past-life punya.

The 10th house from any house shows the karma or action of that house.

So, the 6th house becomes the karma of the 9th house. This means the 6th house reveals how your dharma is tested through your actions in daily life.

It is easy to speak about dharma in temples, satsangs and spiritual discussions. But the 6th house asks a practical question:

How do you behave with your workers?
 How do you treat your employees?
 Do you exploit people below you?
 Do you pay people fairly?
 Do you help the sick and needy?
 Do you feed animals?
 Do you misuse power in the workplace?
 Do you create unnecessary disputes?
 Do you take loans and avoid repayment?
 Do you fight without reason?

This is where dharma becomes karma.

A person may have religious knowledge, but if they mistreat their servants, staff, labourers, co-workers or animals, the 6th house becomes disturbed. The judgement of such actions may come in this life or carry forward into the next.

Wealth and the 6th House: Why wrong karma can drain money

The 2nd house is 9th from the 6th house.

The 2nd house represents wealth, family, food, speech, accumulated resources and values. Since the 9th from any house shows fortune connected to that house, the 2nd house shows how the karmic fortune of the 6th house can affect wealth and family stability.

If a person’s karmic actions connected to the 6th house are negative, wealth can get affected. In many cases, such people may lose money through court cases, fraud, cheating, disputes, medical expenses, debt, servants, employees, workers or workplace complications. Sometimes the same person who is misused or underpaid becomes the instrument through which wealth drains.

This is not coincidence. It is karmic balancing. Where we create pain, repayment begins.

The 8th House, bad luck and sudden karmic results

The 8th house is 12th from the 9th house.

The 9th house is bhagya i.e. fortune, grace and blessings. The 12th from it shows loss or draining of fortune. Therefore, the 8th house can show sudden shocks, bad luck, hidden karma, transformations, secrets, scandals, accidents, chronic struggles and unexpected karmic results.

When the 6th, 8th and 12th houses become connected, karmic blockages become stronger. A person may feel that effort is not giving results, enemies are increasing, debts are rising, health is unstable, court matters are dragging or mental peace is lost.

The 12th house is also 12th from the 1st house. The 1st house represents the self, body, identity and life force. Therefore, the 12th house can show draining, isolation, loss, sleep, expenses, foreign lands, hospitals, ashrams, prisons, moksha and backstage work.

When negative karma is strong, the self feels “discounted” or drained. The person may work from behind the scenes, lose recognition, spend unnecessarily, or feel spiritually and emotionally exhausted.

But the same houses, when purified, can become powerful spiritual houses.

The 6th becomes seva.
 The 8th becomes transformation.
 The 12th becomes surrender and moksha.

The best remedy for 6th House karma

The best remedy for 6th house-related karma is not only mantra, gemstone or ritual.

The best remedy is seva.

Serve the poor.
 Help the needy.
 Feed animals.
 Take care of pets.
 Treat servants and workers with dignity.
 Pay labourers fairly and on time.
 Donate to people in difficulty.
 Support healers, hospitals, animal shelters and people struggling with disease or debt.
 Do not humiliate those who are dependent on you.
 Do not exploit subordinates at work.
 Do not misuse people who serve your home or business.

The way you treat your servant, employee, driver, maid, assistant, labourer, co-worker, nurse, helper or animal directly affects the 6th house karma.

This kind of remedy gives astonishing results because it works at the root of the house. If the 6th house is the house of service, then service itself becomes the medicine.

Remedies do not erase Prarabdha Karma

However, one thing must be understood clearly. Remedies do not magically erase past-life karma.

If something is part of Prarabdha Karma, it has to be experienced in this life in some form. Prarabdha is the karma that has already begun to fructify. It cannot always be completely removed.

Then what is the purpose of remedies?

Remedies help us walk the right path. They reduce harshness, bring awareness, create inner correction and prepare better karma for the future. They help us accept mistakes made in the past, improve our present conduct and prevent the creation of further negative karma.

A remedy done only to escape punishment is weak. A remedy done with humility, repentance, gratitude and genuine transformation becomes powerful.

If you donate only with the intention of escaping karma, the result is limited. But if you donate selflessly, without bargaining with the Divine, the results become deeper and more beautiful.

The more you serve without the hidden intention of escaping past-life karma, the better the karmic transformation becomes.

The spiritual message of the 6th House

The 6th house teaches that spirituality is not only about temples, mantras and rituals. It is also about how you behave in daily life.

How you repay debt.
 How you face enemies.
 How you treat workers.
 How you handle disputes.
 How you care for animals.
 How you respond to disease.
 How you serve the weak.
 How you conduct yourself at the workplace.
 How you act when you have power over someone else.

This house reminds us that karma is not created only in big actions. It is created every day through small behaviours. A person who feeds a dog with love, pays a worker honestly, helps a sick person, supports a poor family, avoids unnecessary disputes and treats subordinates with respect is doing a powerful 6th house remedy.

A person who exploits, cheats, abuses, underpays, humiliates or misuses people connected to the 6th house creates blockages for the future.

Service is the highest remedy

The same planet gives different results because every soul carries different karma.

The 6th house shows where we must repay, correct, serve and purify. It may bring enemies, debts, diseases, fights and struggles, but it also gives the opportunity to rise through seva, humility and discipline.

The 5th house stores the subtle results of 6th house actions. The 6th house, being 10th from the 9th, shows how dharma becomes practical karma. The 2nd house, being 9th from the 6th, shows how wealth can depend on karmic conduct. The 8th and 12th houses show how bad luck, draining and hidden karma may arise when actions are not aligned with dharma.

But no chart is only punishment. Every chart is also guidance.

If the 6th house is troubled, serve.
 If debts are heavy, donate with humility.
 If enemies are active, correct your conduct.
 If workers betray you, examine how you treat those below you.
 If health suffers, respect the body and help the sick.
 If animals come into your life, care for them.

The 6th house is not only the house of enemies.

It is also the house where enemies become teachers, disease becomes awareness, debt becomes responsibility, and service becomes liberation.

True remedy begins when karma becomes conscious.

THE MAHAMANTRA

This Mahamritunjaya mantra is from the Rig-Veda and needs initiation for attaining Siddhi. Anybody can recite this mantra and attain good health, release from bondage and other problems.

This is the greatest reliever from all evils and can be recited at any time like any other Maha-mantra. It should be recited preferably for forty days both in the morning and evening, after lighting a Jyoti and sitting on a woollen asana while facing east. Recite the Maha-mantra 108 times (one rosary) or its multiples in each sitting. This is the greatest work of Maharishi Vashistha. Before commencing the Mahamritunjaya mantra recite the following small prayer to the everlasting spirit of the Maharishi for his blessings and guidance.

OM SUCHIRMARKAIR BRIHASPATIM ADHVARESHU NAMASYATAH (21 Times)

We pray to Brihaspati (the Lord of this Universe and the teacher of this Vedic Knowledge), whose wishes are inviolable, for good thoughts (that will lead to good speech and actions that cannot be violated as it will be the truth).

VYAM VASHISHTHAYA NAMAH (21 Times)

This is the prayer to Maharishi Vashistha (whose Holy Spirit is Omnipresent).

The initiated should practice the Pranayama ten times with the Beejakshara Mantra “OM HOUM JUM SAH” . Others can skip this and go to the Maha-mantra directly.

This is to be followed by the Dhyana Mantra (Meditation) of Sri Tryambakeswara (One of the twelve Jyotirlinga) and then meditate on Sri Tryambakeshwara (Lord Shiva) and Sri Amriteshwari (Gouri or Parvati Shakti) with the relevant beejakshara and Rudra Pooja. Meditate for at least 15 Minutes before starting the Japa (Recitation of Mantra).

Then repeat the following Mahamritunjaya mantra 108 times or multiples of this number.

The Mahamritunjaya Mantra reads:
OM TRYAMBAKKAM YAJAMAHE SUGANDHIM PUSTIVARDHANAM URVAROOKAMEVA BANDANAAN MRITYORMOKSHEEYA MAAMRITAAT.
WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS MAHAMANTRA

It is important to understand the meaning of the words as this makes the repetition meaningful and brings forth the results.
OM is not spelt out in the Rig-Veda, but has to be added to the beginning of all Mantras as given in an earlier Mantra of the Rig-Veda addressed to Ganapati.

TRYAMBAKKAM refers to the Three eyes of Lord Shiva. ‘Trya’ means ‘Three’ and Ambakam’ means eyes. These three eyes or sources of enlightenment are the Trimurti or three primary deities, namely Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva and the three ‘AMBA’ (also meaning Mother or Shakti’ are Saraswati, Lakshmi and Gouri. Thus in this word, we are referring to God as Omniscient (Brahma), Omnipresent (Vishnu) and Omnipotent (Shiva). This is the wisdom of Brihaspati and is referred to as Sri Duttatreya having three heads of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.

YAJAMAHE : means, "We sing Thy praise".

SUGANDHIM : refers to His fragrance (of knowledge, presence and strength i.e. three aspects) as being the best and always spreading around. Fragrance refers to the joy that we get on knowing, seeing or feeling His virtuous deeds.

PUSTIVARDHANAM : Pooshan refers to Him as the sustainer of this world and in this manner, He is the Father (Pater) of all. Pooshan is also the inner impeller of all knowledge and is thus Savitur or the Sun and also symbolises Brahma the Omniscient Creator. In this manner He is also the Father (Genitor) of all.

URVAAROKAMEVA : ‘URVA’ means “VISHAL” or big and powerful . ‘AAROOKAM’ means ‘Disease’. Thus URVAROOKA means deadly and overpowering diseases. The diseases are also of three kinds caused by the influence (in the negative) of the three Guna’s and are ignorance (Avidya etc),falsehood (Asat etc as even though Vishnu is everywhere, we fail to perceive Him and are guided by our sight and other senses) and weaknesses (Shadripu etc. a constraint of this physical body and Shiva is all powerful).

BANDANAAM : means bound down. Thus read with URVAROOKAMEVA, it means ‘I am bound down by deadly and overpowering diseases’.

MRITYORMOOKSHEYA : means to deliver us from death (both premature deaths in this Physical world and from the never-ending cycle of deaths due to re-birth) for the sake of Mokshya (Nirvana or final emancipation from re-birth).

MAAMRITAAT : means ‘please give me some Amritam (life rejuvenating nectar). Read with the previous word, it means that we are praying for some ‘Amrit’ to get out of the death inflicting diseases as well as the cycle of re-birth.

Spirituality Through Astrology: Understanding Guru Tattva, Shukra Tattva and the Power of Vak Siddhi

Astrology is not merely about predicting events. At its deeper level, Jyotisha is the science of light, a sacred system that helps us understand how cosmic energies reflect within the human consciousness.

Every graha is not just a planet outside us. It is also a tattva within us.

Jupiter is not only Brihaspati in the sky. It is the Guru Tattva within the seeker.
 Venus is not only Shukra in the horoscope. It is the power of alignment, balance, refinement and healing within the being.

When understood spiritually, astrology becomes a mirror of sadhana.
 

The Jupiter element: Guru tattva and the power of pure words

In Satyug, the sages and saints who had the power to bless and curse were not ordinary beings. Their words carried power because their consciousness was pure, disciplined and aligned with Dharma.

This strength can be understood through the Jupiter element within them. Jupiter represents wisdom, expansion, divine knowledge, grace, dharma, mantra shakti and Guru Tattva. A strong Jupiter does not only mean bookish intelligence or religious knowledge. It means the ability to hold higher wisdom in one’s consciousness and speak from a place of purity.

This strength does not come overnight. It is cultivated through meditation, mantra chanting, tapasya, right conduct, purity of intention, surrender to the Guru, and constant alignment with truth.

When the thoughts, mind, heart and soul become perfectly aligned, words stop being casual sounds. They become carriers of divine force. This is why the words of rishis had power. Their speech was not born out of ego, anger or emotional disturbance. It came from a state of deep inner authority.

That is why their blessings manifested.
 That is why their curses also carried consequences.

Their Vak was connected to Satya.
 

Vak Siddhi: When speech becomes spiritually powerful

The opening and purification of the throat chakra, or Vishuddhi chakra, is very important in this journey. The throat is not merely the place from where we speak. It is the center through which thought, emotion, truth and cosmic vibration are processed into words.

When the throat chakra is purified, speech becomes clear, responsible and powerful. The seeker no longer speaks unnecessarily. Words become measured. Silence becomes meaningful. Speech becomes aligned with Dharma.

This is called Vak Siddhi, the spiritual perfection of speech.

Vak Siddhi does not mean speaking loudly, impressively or dramatically. It means that the words spoken by a purified being carry energy, truth and manifestation power.

But Vak Siddhi cannot come when the mind is scattered, the heart is impure, and the intention is selfish. If the inner world is full of ego, jealousy, fear, anger and greed, then speech becomes polluted. Such words may create noise, but they do not carry divine authority.

True Vak Siddhi comes when speech becomes an extension of consciousness.
 

Shukra Tattva: The power of alignment, stability and healing

Before one can truly reach the higher wisdom of Jupiter, one must understand the role of Shukra Tattva.

Shukra is often associated with beauty, comfort, love, attraction, wealth and worldly pleasures. But at a deeper spiritual level, Shukra represents alignment, refinement, harmony, balance and healing.

Shukra teaches the seeker how to create stability within. When the mind is disturbed, emotions are imbalanced, desires are uncontrolled and relationships are chaotic, the inner system cannot hold higher wisdom. The Guru Tattva cannot fully awaken in a person whose inner energies are constantly scattered.

This is where Shukra becomes important. Through sadhana, discipline, devotion, purity, beauty, seva, gratitude and emotional refinement, Shukra balances the inner being. It brings sweetness where there is harshness. It brings stability where there is restlessness. It brings healing where there is inner conflict.

This is also why Maa Lakshmi is associated with stability, prosperity, beauty and balance. Lakshmi is not merely money. Lakshmi is order. Lakshmi is grace. Lakshmi is inner and outer abundance that comes when energies are properly aligned.

Where there is chaos, Lakshmi does not stay.
 Where there is balance, gratitude and purity, Lakshmi flows.

Many seekers want to directly reach Guru Tattva. They want wisdom, siddhi, mantra power, spiritual authority and divine speech. But the process is not as easy as it sounds.

Before Jupiter can fully awaken, Shukra must bring balance. A disturbed person cannot hold higher knowledge properly. An unstable mind can turn even sacred knowledge into ego. A restless seeker may use mantras, astrology or spiritual practices for control, superiority or wish fulfilment rather than transformation.

That is why inner alignment is necessary.

Shukra prepares the vessel.
 Jupiter fills it with wisdom.

Shukra brings harmony.
 Jupiter brings expansion.

Shukra heals the inner imbalance.
 Jupiter reveals the higher truth.

When everything within you becomes balanced your thoughts, emotions, desires, speech, lifestyle and intention only then the Guru Tattva begins to rise naturally.

Why are people becoming so obsessed with mantras?

This mantra, that mantra, one new chant today, another new prayog tomorrow – too many experiments, too much restlessness, and very little inner stillness.

Many people have started believing that chanting many mantras will automatically make them powerful. They collect mantras like achievements. They proudly say, “I know this mantra, I have done that sadhana, I have tried everything.”

But spirituality is not a race of collecting mantras. It is a journey of becoming pure enough to hold one truth deeply.

A mantra is not meant to inflate the ego. It is meant to dissolve it. A mantra is not meant to make a person feel superior. It is meant to bring the mind into balance, discipline, devotion, and inner purification.

The real purpose of mantra is chitta Shuddhi /  purification of the mind.

But many people remain stuck in ego, ignorance, comparison, and spiritual greed. Instead of becoming more humble, they become more restless. Instead of becoming more focused, they keep jumping from one practice to another.

This is why, in earlier times, sacred knowledge was not casually given to everyone. Brahma Gyan, mantra vidya, tantra, and deeper forms of sadhana were revealed only to those who had eligibility, discipline, devotion, and mental stability.

Not because the gurus wanted to hide knowledge. Because they understood that powerful knowledge in an unstable mind can create confusion.
 

Mantra is for mental balance, not mental disturbance

Mantras were originally meant to bring stability to the mind. The repeated sound, vibration, bhava, and discipline of mantra japa gradually purify the inner world. They align thought, breath, emotion, and consciousness.

But today, many people are losing mental balance in the name of mantra practice. There is no focus. No patience. No surrender. No proper guidance. One day they chant a Devi mantra, the next day a Bhairav mantra, then a Hanuman mantra, then a Mahavidya mantra, then some random beej mantra found online.

And when the mind becomes restless, when the energy feels blocked, when sleep is disturbed, when emotions become unstable, they wonder why the mantra is not working.

The problem is not always the mantra. Sometimes the problem is the way the mantra is approached. Mantra is not entertainment. It is not experimentation. It is not a shortcut to power. It is a sacred relationship with a divine frequency.
 

Why mantra deeksha is important

Earlier, a guru would observe the disciple, understand the disciple’s nature, karma, mental condition, spiritual capacity, and life situation. Then, the guru would give one mantra that suited the disciple’s consciousness.

One mantra. Not ten. Not twenty. Not a random list copied from the internet.

The disciple would then remain loyal to that mantra with shraddha, discipline, and repetition. Over time, that mantra would open layers of consciousness, purify the mind, and connect the disciple to the deity, tattva, or divine wisdom behind the mantra.

Today, people are deeply confused. They believe they can conquer the world with many mantras. They switch mantras. They switch gurus. They collect half-knowledge from videos, social media, and online forums. Then they start chanting without understanding pronunciation, nyasa, sankalpa, restrictions, energy, adhikara, or consequences.

This is not sadhana. This is spiritual impatience.
 

Mantras are not mere wish-fulfilment tools

Many people approach mantras only for wish fulfilment. They want money, power, attraction, victory, revenge, name, fame, control, or quick relief. But mantras do not work like vending machines. You do not insert japa and receive results instantly.

A mantra can help in the process of transformation. It can strengthen the mind, purify intention, align energy, and attract divine grace. But your inner transformation must also happen.

You still have to do your karma. Your duty, work, family responsibilities, discipline, honesty, effort, and moral choices are also part of the cosmic order. You cannot escape karma by chanting mantras. In fact, true mantra sadhana makes you more responsible, not less responsible.

Your work is also Ishwara’s work when it is performed with dharma. Your responsibilities are also part of your spiritual path. A person who chants mantras but avoids karma has not understood mantra.
 

Not every mantra suits every person

The expansion of consciousness depends on one’s mental ability, purity, discipline, and readiness. A person does not become intelligent, powerful, or spiritually evolved overnight by chanting multiple mantras.

Every mantra has its own energy. Some mantras are cooling. Some are fiery. Some are protective. Some are transformational. Some are devotional. Some are deeply tantric. Some require purity of lifestyle, guidance, restriction, and preparation.

A mantra that suits one person may not suit another. Every person’s karma, psychology, energy body, family background, emotional condition, and spiritual stage are different. This is why a mantra should not be selected casually. In many cases, the mantra must choose you through grace, guru, inner calling, or proper guidance.

When people chant without understanding this, they may feel restlessness, heaviness, blocked energy, disturbed sleep, irritation, ego inflation, or emotional imbalance. Many seekers complain that even after doing so many mantras, they feel stuck.

The question is: did they do mantra sadhana, or did they only experiment with sound?

One mantra can become a Brahmastra

It is said that even one mantra, when practiced with full faith, focus, discipline, and repeated Purushcharan / Purascharana, can become like a Brahmastra.

The power is not in the number of mantras collected. The power is in the depth of your connection.

A single mantra done properly can purify the mind, protect the seeker, awaken devotion, strengthen consciousness, and open the path to higher wisdom. But for that, the seeker must become steady.

A shallow person wants many mantras. A sincere sadhak goes deep into one.

The seed must be planted in one place for the tree to grow. If you keep digging it out and planting it somewhere else every few days, it will never become a tree.

In the same way, if you keep switching mantras, switching gurus, and switching paths, your consciousness does not deepen. It only becomes scattered.

The problem of Kalyug: Scattered consciousness

In Kalyug, the collective power of consciousness is already weakened. Faith has become unstable. Attention has become weak. People want quick results. They want divine power without discipline, blessings without surrender, and siddhi without purification.

The joint manifestation of consciousness is fading because people are not stable. They are busy comparing paths, collecting initiations, trying different gurus, and using spiritual practices for ego satisfaction.

The internet has made knowledge accessible, but it has also made confusion very easy.

Not everything available online is meant for practice. Not every mantra should be chanted without guidance. Not every deity sadhana is suitable for every person. Not every spiritual experience is progress.

Sometimes what people call awakening is only mental agitation. Sometimes what they call energy movement is only imbalance. Sometimes what they call divine calling is only spiritual greed.

That is why reliable guidance is important.

Believe in a reliable source

A mantra is sacred. Your mind is sacred. Your consciousness is sacred.

Do not experiment carelessly with your brain, nervous system, emotions, and subtle energy. Believe in a reliable source. Learn from a genuine guru, a trusted tradition, or a knowledgeable practitioner who understands both scripture and sadhana.

  •     Do not treat mantra as a spiritual shortcut, Treat it as a lifelong discipline.
  •     Do not chant to become powerful,  Chant to become pure.
  •     Do not chant to conquer the world,  Chant to conquer your own ego.
  •     Do not collect mantras, Become worthy of one.

Because when one mantra truly enters the heart, it does not merely fulfil desires. It transforms the seeker. And that transformation is the real power of mantra.

Among the many vibrant festivals celebrated across India, Bonalu holds a special place in the cultural and spiritual identity of Hyderabad and Telangana. The word “Bonalu” is derived from the Telugu word “Bhojanam”, meaning “meal” or “food offering.” During the festival, women prepare rice cooked with milk and jaggery in beautifully decorated earthen or brass pots adorned with neem leaves, turmeric, vermilion, and lamps. Bonalu is primarily dedicated to the fierce and protective manifestations of the Shakti, including Maa Mahakali, Pochamma, Yellamma, Maisamma, Pedamma, Muthyalamma, and other Gramadevatas. In the Shakta tradition, these local goddesses are not separate deities but regional manifestations of Adi Shakti, the supreme cosmic energy revered in Sanatana Dharma. When devil doesn’t want god to win and doesn’t know how to break your power, he sends you people who break you emotionally. He knows your greatest weakness is ” love” because you are an emotional being- full of humility. So he wants you to self-sabotage yourself by lowering your frequency- forcing you to think of all that you never got.

Maximum people are suffering “from not being able to love” and “I never got love”…and then slowly people are turning their back towards dharma- in rage, in vengeance -blaming the world for its cruelty, biasedness, unjustness.

The vindictiveness of humans will grow with time, because the only way adharma can win is by deleting “love” from earth. Devil hits on your weakness- “your ability to love” so that you stop believing in god completely, he takes away all those who you loved- through cheat and toxicity, and here you start blaming god. The devil takes you away from dharma, makes you a non-believer because adharma is easier for a revengeful, heartbroken soul. He blames it all on god but no its the devil who doesn’t want you to rise, doesn’t want you to heal your heart. He breaks your biggest strength to feel the emotions , then takes away your peace , breaks your will power, determination, confidence and dismantles you completely…

This war of devil and god is only so that you are not able to raise your consciousness to reach your highest potential. Because if you do, it shall end the devil at play. A healing heart will see through the motives of the devil and an unhealed heart will become the devil.
